Russian cinema, as we know, is not in the best condition. To play abroad, even if not in Hollywood, but at least in France or Spain are the dream of many actors, but not everyone is able to realize itself in a foreign market.
Today, we remember 10 of our stars, big screens, which has managed if not to win the West, then at least I'm there to exercise.
10. Ksenia Rappoport
Actress in 1997 at the age of 23 years received a small role in the Hollywood film version of "Anna Karenina" with Sophie Marceau and Sean Bean in the lead roles, and further increased momentum in foreign cinema.
Especially well it was the case in Italy: first she played a major role in the film "the Stranger" and received the prize of the Italian cinema Academy for the best role, and 2 years later thanks to its reputation, was appointed as leading the opening and closing of the Cannes film festival.
Just on account of Xenia a few dozen roles, many of which are in Italian paintings.
9. Dina Korzun
Dina's Hollywood career began in 2004 when she was called to the main female role in the drama "Forty shades of sadness", where her partner on the set was the Rip torn ("Men in black" 1 & 2). For this work she even received a nomination for best actress at the film Independent spirit award, but victory, alas, she had not got.
Later she starred in "Sharp peaks" and played on the stage of the Royal national theatre in London, where he now resides.
8. Oleg Taktarov
Russian athlete since childhood dreamed of becoming an actor, and acting wanted in Hollywood. To achieve this goal he had in 1994 went to the United States, not having green cards and not possessing the English language.
Realizing that first and foremost he needs the money, he began to participate in the UFC, achieving good results (in particular became the champion in 1995), and most importantly became recognizable.
Later, he received one of the best acting schools began to receive the first proposals in the movies: "air force one" in 1997, etc. All of his roles are quite similar and formulaic, but still not every actor can boast of having starred with Adrien Brody, Harrison Ford or Gary Oldman as viad.
7. Valery Nikolaev
A graduate of School-Studio of MKHAT, in contrast to many colleagues never thought that was enough, so he later studied at acting schools in new York, London and new Jersey.
It helped him not only to pump the actor's skill, but also find a lot of useful contacts, which as a result helped him get the role in the Thriller Oliver stone's "Turn", where he starred along with Sean Penn, Nick Nolte and Jennifer Lopez.
After that, he appeared in the film "the Saint" Phillip Noyce and "the Terminal" by Steven Spielberg. After this role, his career went into decline, and now, unfortunately, in a normal film it is not removed.
6. Svetlana Khodchenkova
First Hollywood role in the film "Tinker tailor soldier Spy" Svetlana was small, but she managed to work with such stars as Gary Oldman, Benedict Cumberbatch, Colin Firth and Tom hardy. By the way, with her in this film starred another actor Konstantin Khabensky.
Then she got a more prominent role in the album "the Wolverine", playing antagonists. After that her career was not notable works abroad and the projects in which it was filmed in Russia for the most part, was controversial: the film series "Classmates", "Rzhevskij against Napoleon", "Warrior", etc.
Given that the actress is 36 years old, I want to believe that it will finally cease to act in everyone and focus on finding roles in Hollywood.
5. Vladimir Mashkov
Popular Russian actor first came on the radar of the American kinodela in 1997, and did so with a domestic film, which is rare.
Drama "Thief," directed by Pavel Chukhrai in which Mashkov played the main character, was nominated for "Oscar" and "Golden globe" in the category "Best foreign language film".
After that, he expected to receive offers from American Directors and then repeatedly shot. Of the most famous "Mission impossible: Ghost Protocol" and "behind enemy lines".
His character from the last film served as a prototype of Niko Bellic, protagonist of GTA IV. Unfortunately, in February of this year Vladimir Mashkov has declared the end of his career, although he is only 55 years.
4. Danila Kozlovsky
Most popular in Russia actor in the West so far only mastered, but has already managed to star in several rather large projects.
For example, it can be seen in the TV series "Mcmafia" from the BBC and AMC, as well as in the 6th season of "Vikings" from History. Kozlowski is still young, he's only 33, so we probably will see him in foreign films.
3. Anton Yelchin
If not for his death as the result of a ridiculous accident in 2016, he would have probably been the most recognizable Russian actor in Hollywood, as even at the age of 27 has already done.
For example, he starred in the drama "alpha Dog", the fantastic "Star trek" and "Terminator: salvation" and in many famous paintings.
In fairness it should be noted that despite giving birth in the Russian Federation, Russian actor Alcina difficult to call, as we have it is not actually removed. Reaching and the year he emigrated with his parents to the United States, where even auditioned for the role of Harry Potter.
2. Yuri Kolokolnikov
The actor undertook the first attempted conquest of Hollywood in 2000, but then he failed and he was forced to return home.
In Russia, he appeared many relatively successful, but in the West, fortune smiled on him in 2013, when he adopted the role of the leader of the tribe of thenns in the "Game of thrones".
Since then, he actively breaks it in this market: "hunter Killer" with Gary Oldman as viad and Gerrard Butler, "the Bodyguard killer" with Samuel L. Jackson, Ryan Reynolds and Salma Hayek all he received, though small, but still a role.
1. Igor Jijikin
Being a circus artist, jijikin hit the US in the early 90's, and when the circus went bankrupt, he stayed in Vegas with no money, connections and prospects. Perseverance and a little luck helped him find work in the theatre where he began his career in film.
Debut was the role in "blood work" Clint Eastwood, well, then it started: a "Spy" with Quentin Tarantino, "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the crystal skull" by Steven Spielberg, and others.
